The importance of saying no

Self-affirmation is crucial for your mental health and is achieved gradually. It allows you to set your limits and build self-esteem.

Karim finds it hard to set boundaries with those around him and this has an affect on his self-esteem. His words resonate with Louise and she becomes aware of her own inability to say no.

By always making yourself available, you may burn out. Those around you should take your needs into account and gradually adjust to them.

Learn to respect your boundaries and to communicate them so you can maintain a healthy life balance. You shouldn’t lose yourself taking care of others so feel free to say no and limit your availability. Do not hesitate to ask for help if you needed.
