While on vacation, I promised myself I would write more in my diary.
It’s been a long time. It was really helpful so I’m not sure why I stopped. It creates the space I need to put my messy thoughts in order.
In fact, I’m realizing that my apartment is also a mess. I’ll clean it tomorrow. Or the following day. Either way, I’m doing it this week, that’s for sure.

By writing in her diary, Louise is playing an active role in her own well-being. She is involved in the choices that contribute to her mental health.
Louise is embracing an approach of self-management which focuses on the small actions you take everyday to make yourself feel better.
We all practice self-management on a daily basis, even if we don’t name it as such. No one starts from scratch.

Be compassionate and forgiving with yourself and take it one step at a time.
